How to Choose the Right Tyre Changer for Your Garage
Predator Team · · 1 min read
Start with the vehicles you service
List the vehicles that come into your workshop every week. Hatchbacks and sedans, SUVs with larger wheels, or light commercial vehicles each place different demands on a tyre changer.
Look at the wheels, not just the tyres
Alloy wheels, low-profile tyres and run-flat tyres need more careful handling. If these are a growing share of your work, ask about machines and accessories designed for them.
Check your space and power supply
Measure the floor area, check the compressed air supply and confirm the electrical supply available in your workshop before shortlisting a model.
Plan for the whole wheel service bay
A tyre changer usually works alongside a wheel balancer. Planning them together makes the bay easier to use.
Ask the right questions before buying
- Which rim range does the machine support?
- What air pressure and power does it need?
- What installation and after-sales help is available in my city?
Talk to our team with your workshop details and we will help you shortlist suitable equipment.
